Challenges:Cutting fluid wastewater generated during production is characterized by high COD concentration, complex composition, toxicity, and poor biodegradability. If discharged without treatment, it can lead to eutrophication, deterioration of water quality, unpleasant odors, and inhibition of microbial growth.

Insoluble oils in cutting fluids tend to float on the wastewater surface and can poison biological treatment systems. Therefore, preliminary isolation and collection are essential. Soluble oils can also cause biological system toxicity and are effectively separated using coagulation-air flotation.

Following pretreatment, the biological system mineralizes the majority of organic contaminants, ensuring the effluent meets discharge standards.
