Activated Carbon Adsorption and Desorption+CO Catalytic Combustion Technology to Create an Energy saving VOCs Treatment Model for the Printing Industry
Tofoe Technology recently successfully completed a VOCs waste gas treatment system renovation project for a large printing enterprise in East China. In response to the pain points of large fluctuations in exhaust gas emissions concentration, unstable original treatment efficiency, and high operating costs in the printing workshop of the enterprise, Tofoe Technology has adopted a combination process of "activated carbon adsorption desorption+CO catalytic combustion" to build an efficient, energy-saving, and stable exhaust gas purification system, achieving efficient removal of VOCs and significantly reducing energy consumption, providing a cost-effective solution for the treatment of small and medium air volume and low concentration exhaust gas.
Combination process solves the problem of intermittent emission control:
The exhaust gas of this enterprise has the characteristics of moderate air volume, significant concentration fluctuations, and intermittent production. The Tofoe Technology design system first uses a multi chamber activated carbon adsorption bed to adsorb and concentrate VOCs in the exhaust gas. After saturation, it uses hot air for desorption to form high concentration and low air volume exhaust gas. It then enters the CO catalytic combustion furnace for low-temperature flameless combustion, ultimately decomposing into carbon dioxide and water, with a stable purification efficiency of over 97%. This system is particularly suitable for non continuous production methods and can perform desorption regeneration during periods of low electricity consumption, further reducing operating costs.
To address the limited space and rapid production needs in the factory area, Tofoe adopts an integrated modular design that highly integrates the activated carbon adsorption and desorption module with the CO catalytic combustion furnace, achieving factory prefabrication and rapid on-site installation. The entire system occupies 40% less space and shortens the installation cycle by 50% compared to traditional layout methods, helping enterprises quickly complete environmental upgrades.
